How David Mark Is Delaying Jonathan’s Impeachment

An All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator has told Vanguard that the leadership of the Senate is behind the delay in the commencement of impeachment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan, as the Senate President, David Mark and his principle officers had always pleaded for calm and even go as far as thwarting previous moves to sack him.
He said that, “Since President Goodluck Jonathan wants to destroy the country because of personal ambition, impeachment is the only option left to show him the way out so that efforts of our fore fathers would not go in vain.”

Tambuwal asks Court to send Police IG to Prison for Contempt

Rough times are ahead for the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba. The Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, has asked the Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja, to try The IGP and send him to jail for disobeying an order made by the court.

The IGP had last week ordered police officers to take over the National Assembly complex to “prevent thugs from taking over the complex” and apparently the thugs are Tambuwal and other members.

Tambuwal told the court that by the IGP’s refusal to recognize him as Speaker of the House when he appeared before a committee of the House on Monday, the IG constituted himself “to be the complainant, the judge and the executioner in a matter where a restraining order has already been issued by the judge.”

Five Reasons why Jonathan's Second Term Will Be A Disaster

History has a lot of lessons for us. History itself though an event of the past is vision of tomorrow. History is a divine prophet. Little wonder why science relies on history so much to unravel mysteries. I have not seen in history a government or political party in its second term that outperformed its first term in office. Public office holders often disguise and show less of their color in first terms only to activate the beast in them in their second term when they think nothing is at stake.

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo awed the world in his first term in office, teachers had their fortune and Nigerians smiled more in his first term. Obasanjo showed the beast in him in his second term. Olusegun Mimiko governor of Ondo State was brilliant in his drive for a better plight for Ondo State citizens and we sang his name. Mimiko got his second term and his current dispositions are tantamount to that of a possessed mad man who listens only to the voice of his demons and we curse his name daily.

Baba Obasanjo, You Are Lying Against Us ––Senate Reacts

The Senate has reacted to the the allegation by the former President Olusegun Obasanjo that the National Assembly was using constituency projects to siphon public funds, claiming that it was false.

Describing the allegation as spurious, Senator Abaribe, in a statement, said the former President’s comment was distant from the truth and nowhere near reality, adding that if it were so, the former President would not have tolerated such for the period he was the president of the country.

Buhari to Jonathan: You're bent on pushing Nigeria into anarchy

Almost every day, the Jonathan Presidency seems intent on demonstrating for all to see that they have mastered the art of how to push a nation into chaos within the shortest time possible. The early morning attack by security operatives on the APC data centre in Lagos on Saturday November 22nd is one such display in a growing chain of abuse and violation of the constitution and political rights of the people. It is a reckless act that must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.

The committee had summoned Abba to explain the circumstances that led some of his officers to go all out against Speaker Aminu Tambuwal, preventing him from gaining access into the parliament building and in the process harassed the Speaker as well as other lawmakers.

President Olusegun Obasanjo has once again come to the defense of Nigeria and Nigerians, insisting that the Goodluck Jonathan Presidency is putting the entire country at risk with their reckless actions.

Speaking at a book Launch in honour of the pioneer chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, Mustapha Akanbi‎, in Abuja, Mr. Obasanjo, who is the Chairman of the occasion, said the president should stop encouraging ‘verbal violence which may not physically hurt but has ways of degenerating into physical violence’.

Police IG ignores Senate, Angry Senators kick out His Reps

The new inspector general of police, Suleiman Abba is setting himself up for a serious battle with the men in the national assembly. Few days after he shunned the House of Reps' summon, the IGP has also ignore the summon by the Senate that he must appear on Tuesday to defend his orders to his men.

Consequently, the Senate angrily kicked out the representatives of the Police IG at its hearing today and they insisted that he must appear in person.

The IGP had delegated a Deputy Inspector General of police (DIG) to represent him at the briefing before the senators but the DIG was asked to leave the senate chamber by the angry lawmakers.

Asking the electorate not to yield to the advances of other aspirants, saying they could not guarantee their freedom, she said, "I want to once again, urge you to continue to give support to our dear President, who has shown that he is not only gender sensitive but believes in the power and capacity of women to bring about change in society. He has been doing his best to promote the interest of women in Nigeria. It is now time for us to show him our appreciation for all he has been doing as he seeks re-election."

Rivers APC Congratulates New CJN, Seeks Intervention into Judiciary Crisis

•Warns of PDP’s plot to open the courts by force
The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated the new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Mahmud Mohammed, on his appointment, even as it requested his immediate intervention in the crisis that has paralyzed the State Judiciary.

Court papers in suit on Jonathan’s eligibility have been stolen

Something sinister is going on... A lawyer involved in the prosecution of the case challenging President Goodluck Jonathan’s eligibility in the 2015 presidential election, Wahab Olatoye, has revealed that the vital documents needed to prosecute the case have been stolen.

He said some men broke into his office in Abuja on Friday and stole “most of the files containing documents to be used in the eligibility suit and other vital documents.”

His office at Suite 33, Manga Plaza, Garki Area 11 was burgled on Friday night and vital documents he was using to pursue his case against the President and other vital documents were taken away.

Jonathan supervising a very corrupt government, says Amaechi

Chairman of Nigerian governors forum and Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi has said President Goodluck Jonathan “is supervising a highly corrupt government,” adding that what is playing out in the political space supervised by the Police and the Presidency is not democracy.

Amaechi, who spoke in Abuja on Saturday, insisted he had no personal quarrel with President Jonathan but that if only governance could be separated from him, Jonathan remains “a good man.”

Reacting to the invasion of the National Assembly by the police last Thursday, Amaechi described the act as uncivilised. He regretted that the President “is supervising a highly corrupt government.”

APC presidential primaries: Atiku woos delegates with N50,000

Ahead of the presidential primaries of the APC, former vice president Abubakar Atiku has splashed about N16.4million on Katsina APC, that included N50,000 each to the state’s 208 delegates.

Atiku, who is one of the frontline presidential aspirants of the APC, gave the money on Saturday when he visited Katsina State to lobby delegates preparatory to the party’s presidential primary election.

Speaking at the Katsina State APC Secretariat, Atiku said he viewed the APC in Katsina State as an orphan, because the party is not in government. He then announced the donation of N5million to the state secretariat, N1 million to the elders of the party, and N50,000 each to the 208 delegates.

Tambuwal dares Presidency to arrest him; Police denies Order

After the Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, dared the presidency to go ahead with the plan to arrest him, the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) has denied news report in some media that NSA Sambo Dasuki has ordered the arrest of Tambuwal.
The director, Special Duties in the Office of the NSA, retired Colonel Bello Fadile said: “It is not only untrue and mere fabricated reports that the NSA met with the VP and ordered the arrest of Hon. Tambuwal, the fact is that the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki has been outside the country since Wednesday on pressing national security issues.

Police IG orders Arrest of Tambuwal; Speaker Reacts

Feelers from the Police Headquarters in Abuja indicated that the IG of Police, Abba Sulaiman has ordered the arrest of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The obnoxious order was given following a showdown between the police and members of the House of Reps on Thursday, after the police blocked the entrance to the National Assembly and prevented the Speaker from gaining entrance, forcing some of the lawmakers who were with him to scale the locked gate and go into the chambers of the House, where they stalled plans to begin impeachment proceedings against the popular Speaker.

UPDATE: Impeachment plot against Jonathan thickens

What started in the House of Representatives as a plot to immediately initiate impeachment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan has spread to the Senate, according to indications.

More number of Senators are said to be enthusiastic to team up with the Reps to impeach Jonathan.

One hundred and thirty Reps were known to have signed up to support the plot on Thursday, but as at mid day on Friday, the figure had risen up to 148, sources close to the bid told The Nation.

Senate sources said yesterday that some senators were inclined to get President Jonathan impeached. The arrow heads of the plot in the Senate are from the Northeast where the President proposes to extend the emergency rule in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States.

Assembly Crisis: Oshiomhole and Fayose Exchange Hot Words

The madness going on in Ekiti State where 7 members say they have impeached a Speaker in a house of 26 members is reverberating outside the state. Governors Adams Oshiomhole and Ayodele Fayose, of Edo and Ekiti, on Thursday exchanged hot words over the state of the legislature in their states.

Oshiomhole told Fayose not to drag his name into the “political gangsterism that has become peculiar with the Ekiti State Governor,” but Fayose on his part said Oshiomhole lacked the moral right to comment on the developments in Ekiti when he had not managed the crisis in his state legislature well.

120 Lawmaker have signed Notice for Jonathan’s Impeachment

We are moving into a heated phase in the slow but surely movement to 2015. So far, more than 120 of the lawmakers have appended their signatures for the impeachment of President Goodluck Jonathan as soon as the House reconvenes in December.

Mohammed Zakari, chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, while reacting on it said “the notice of impeachment was not on the order paper today but I’m not foreclosing that some other things took place.”
Similar agitation by aggrieved lawmakers to move for impeachment of Emeka Ihedioha, deputy Speaker during the brief closed door session, was however averted by the Speaker who called for calmness.

The Full Video of how Tambuwal was Smuggled Into NASS

The grand plan of the Presidency and the Inspector General of Police on Thursday was to ensure that the Speaker of the House of Reps, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, the number 4 citizen in Nigeria did not make it into the chamber of the House. If they had succeeded, that would have been the end for him.

But kudos to the Speaker and his loyalists both in APC and PDP. They fought hard and took him in.

Who slapped Senate Pres David Mark at National Assembly?

Clearly some House of Reps members were not happy that David Mark left Senate chamber and came into the House chamber after Speaker Aminu Tambuwal gained access. But what he really assaulted?

Fayose Has Sealed My Office ––Ekiti Speaker reveals

Could it be that Ayo Fayose was lying to us when he said he was changed man?
The Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Dr. Adewale Omirin, said the Governor had ordered the sealing off of his office and taken several other unconstitutional actions against his person and office.

This, the Speaker claimed, followed the action of seven PDP members of Ekiti State House of Assembly who illegally sat to attempt to change the leadership of the House, but only succeeded in approving the reconstitution of the local government caretaker committees and confirmation of the commissioner-nominees sent to the House of Assembly last week by Fayose.

Fayose's Government Is Now Reining Impunity in Ekiti State

*APC raises alarm over PDP-instigated, police-backed impunity in Ekiti
The All Progressives Congress has raised the alarm over a PDP-led and police-backed acts of impunity in Ekiti State, where only seven members of the 26-strong House of Assembly on Monday morning convened the House to carry out an agenda, dictated by Governor Ayodele Fayose.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said over 200 armed policemen are offering protection to the seven PDP members of the House, who convened to illegally approve the list of Commissioners-designate as well as the Caretaker Committees for the local councils in the state.

"The issue of the Caretaker Committees, which Gov. Ayodele Fayose plans to swear in on Monday after the illegal approval by the House, is sub judice, hence the House cannot even discuss it not to talk of acting on it. Also, while the Governor was advised by the Clerk of the House that seven members out of 26 do not form a quorum, he said after all, only eight of 24 members in the Plateau House of Assembly impeached then Gov, Joshua Dariye in 2006!” it said.

2015: History Beckons On Buhari To Step Forward

By Joe Igbokwe
I am writing this article in my capacity as Joe Igbokwe, I am writing this piece as an Author and writer and I am writing this as a public commentator on national issues. I am not writing this piece as the spokesperson of Lagos APC. I speak strictly for myself and I crave your indulgence to give me this liberty to speak at a time like this. Nigeria is in a deep crisis and anybody who wishes this country well must speak out now or hold his peace forever.

I have said it before that when a nation is in crisis, the people must search and fish out a great president. When a nation is at crossroads, a competent and strong hand is needed to restore normalcy. When a nation’s territories are being threatened by external forces, you need a president with military background to put a stop to the insurgency. When corruption, impunity and mediocrity ravage a country, you need a disciplined man with puritanical disposition to be on the driver’s seat.

Crisis Hits PDP As Governors Move Against Adamu Mu’azu

All is not well within the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party as some members of its National Working Committee are accusing one another of taking side with some influential members of the party in some states concerning the ward congresses which were held few days ago.

The fresh crisis was threatening the party’s chances of winning the forthcoming governorship elections in some states. At least, six PDP governors were also said to be angry with the party’s Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, for allegedly tampering with the result of the ward congresses in their states.
One of the NWC members said, “The party is in a mess. We don’t know how to handle it even though we are trying to hide it, because we don’t want this crisis to affect the chances of President Goodluck Jonathan in the election.

Heavy Crisis hits Jonathan’s Home State Bayelsa as the PDP Strongmen Fight

The political storm is gathering and the gladiators are all out against themselves. The ripples generated by last Saturday’s PDP ward congresses appear not to be abating as strong indications have emerged that the leadership of the ruling PDP is under intense pressure to cancel the exercise across the nation.

Curiously, Bayelsa, the home state of President Goodluck Jonathan, appears worst hit by the challenges that were thrown up by the controversial congresses.

Unless urgent steps are taken, Bayelsa may witness another round of crisis as Governor Seriake Dickson has resolved to stop all National Assembly members as well as state lawmakers from seeking re-election in 2015 and this is already creating tension in the state.

Jonathan to APC: I Won't Resign, We Are At War With B'Haram

The Presidency has said there is no part of the world where the President resigns during an ongoing war. It therefore challenged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress to tell Nigerians where such has ever happened.

This was the Presidency's reaction to the demand by the APC leadership, including its National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, that President Goodluck Jonathan should resign due to the on-going war the members of the Boko Haram are waging on Nigeria, saying Jonathan is incompetent.

Reacting on behalf of the President, his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, asked Nigerians to ignore such calls.

Before the adjournment which was protested by APC Senators, Senate President David Mark, lamented the withdrawal of the security aides of Speaker Aminu Tambuwal and vowed to protect the Legislature.
He said, “We are not to interfere in the internal affairs of each house. However, as the Chairman of the National Assembly, I cannot fold my arms or pretend that all is well about the current crisis.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, on Tuesday dared the Police and the PDP leadership by paying a working visit to the National Assembly complex in Abuja.

Fashola blasts TAN, says Jonathan not Transforming Anything

Lagos State governor Babatunde Fashola has lampooned the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) for orchestrating the return of President Goodluck Jonathan administration through false claims saying, “This government is unwilling; it has nothing to offer Nigerians.”

Despite the series of adverts powered by TAN to convince Nigerians, Fashola, who spoke as a keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of Women In Business (Wimbiz) Conference held at the Eko Hotels in Victoria Island, said he remained convinced that the country under the leadership of PDP was not transforming the country as portrayed by the group.

TAMBUWAL FIGHTS BACK

According to the Speaker, the PDP still remains factionalised in his home state of Sokoto. This, he said, informed his decision to defect.

He also asked the court to grant an order of injunction restraining the defendants and their agents from taking any step to remove him from office as Speaker and member of the House or in any manner.

The six other respondents in the suit are PDP National Chairman, Deputy Speaker of the House, the Inspector-General of Police, the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Attorney-General of the Federation.

Why More Nigerians Will Vote For Jonathan In 2015

Minister of Interior, Abba Morro has given assurance that the gains of the transformation agenda will give President Goodluck Jonathan an edge over his challengers at the 2015 polls.

Morro, who stated this in an interview with journalists on Friday in Makurdi, said Nigerians had started reaping the benefits of the transformation programme of the government with the revitalisation of key sectors of the economy.

The minister commended the meticulous manner the president was handling the insurgency in the country and said his decision to run for the presidency was in the best interest of the country. He said that the president was tackling insurgency on three fronts; engagement, consultation and contentment.

Tambuwal: A CALL FOR THE LAW TO TAKE ITS COURSE

By Usman Okai Austin
Following the defection of former Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to the All Progressives' Congress from the Peoples' Democratic Party in very clear violation of Section 68 (1)(g) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria made by the Nigerian people via their representatives in parliament, the Peoples' Democratic Party National Youth Frontier considers it necessary to advice him to desist from parading himself as a member of the Federal House of Representatives as it shall amount to an act of impersonation and deceit for him to still claim membership of the House he willingly abdicated from following his defection earlier this week.

Buhari Finally Opens Up: I Knew Babangida Was Planning To Overthrow Me

Buhari became head of state on December 31, 1983 after the military overthrew the government of Shehu Shagari. But on August 27, 1985, Buhari himself was overthrown by Babangida, his chief of army staff and key actor in the 1983 coup.

Buhari, a retired major general and presidential aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), told TheCable: "It is true that I learnt he was planning a coup against me. And I sat and discussed it with him in my office.
"He brought the news that he went to Kano and people complained that I pulled a pistol during a council meeting. I said Ibro ─ I called him Ibro because I was just senior to him by a few months ─ I said whoever wants to sit on this chair let him come and sit here. And he decided to do it."
Reminded that the punishment for coup making was death and he could have put Babangida on trial, Buhari replied: "Yes. Remember how many people he killed subsequently for trying to overthrow him? But when I came in, there was no bloodshed. I think a couple of policemen were killed and [Brigadier Ibrahim] Bako also died in an ambush.

"But deliberately, nobody was killed. I was in the front, the real front in the Nigerian civil war. I had seen enough of death and I know what God means by human life. Any human being, God values their life. And anybody who hopes to meet God, he should be careful about killing...

"When there is law and due process of law took place, the question is clear. Like the cocaine convicts that were executed, the decision was taken in supreme military council."

Below is the concluding part of the interview:

TheCable: People say that you were not really involved in the coup that overthrew Shehu Shagari but you only happened to have been made head of state. But we also heard that Alhaji Umaru Dikko, then minister of transport, felt you were a threat and asked that you be watched. How true are these reports?
Buhari: General David Jemibewon is still alive. He was the adjutant-general of the army at that time. When I came back from the War College in the United States, I was posted to Ikeja and I was made the GOC of the fourth division. I think I lasted for about four to six months there because some people in Shagari’s government said I was too dangerous to be kept around. So I was sent to Ibadan to command second division. I lasted about six months there.  Again, I was posted to Jos to command the third armoured division. Then Jemibewon said to me, Buhari, the way they are moving you, your next posting will be to Daura (Buhari's home town in Katsina state). I had a good laugh. I will never forget. It was during the chief of army staff conference.
TheCable: How much did you know about the 1983 coup?
Buhari: I am working on my memoirs... (But) I have something to say now about the way we treat our military officers who really served this country. Along the line we have gone through so much, those of us in my generation. We served under people like Generals Shuwa, Adekunle, Murtala, Danjuma. I think these people have sacrificed so much. I think Nigeria should really honour them. When I went to greet the family of (Benjamin) Adekunle after his death, and I saw that he was living in a glorified boys quarters, I was very sorry for this country. I felt sorry for this country. What type of people are we? For him to finish up like that, I was very sorry for this country. Unless people believe in God, I think they will forsake this country.
TheCable: Alhaji Umaru Dikko is dead now. There was an attempt to smuggle him into the country from the UK to Nigeria. Your government was suspected as the brain behind it but you denied it then. Can the information be declassified now?
Buhari: No. (General laughter). I'm surprised that I am making you laugh. It is classified and it remains so.
TheCable: Were you really aware that Babangida was planning a coup against you in 1985?
Buhari: Yes, it is true that I learnt he was planning a coup against me. And I sat and discussed it with him in my office. He was the chief of army staff and I was the head of state. He brought the news that he went to Kano and people complained that I pulled a pistol during a council meeting. I had never heard that before, except a newspaper cartoon I saw many, many years ago about Mengistu Haile Mariam (former Ethiopian head of state). They were just making up stories. I said Ibro ─ I called him Ibro because I was just senior to him by a few months ─ I said whoever wants to sit on this chair let him come and sit here. And he decided to do it.
TheCable: But the punishment for coup making is death...
Buhari: Yes. Remember how many people he killed subsequently for trying to overthrow him? But when I came in, there was no bloodshed. I think a couple of policemen were killed and (Brigadier Ibrahim) Bako also died. That was when they went to pick Shagari from somewhere, I think in Abuja. But deliberately, nobody as killed. I was in the front, the real front in the Nigerian civil war. I have seen enough of death and I know what God means by human life. Any human person, God values their life. And anybody who  hopes to meet God, he should be careful about killing. When there is law and due process of law took place, the question is clear. Like the cocaine convicts that were executed (in 1984), the decision was taken by the supreme military council (SMC).
TheCable: But when he eventually overthrew you, didn’t you regret that you should have taken action when you heard that he was planning against you?
Buhari: Taking action pre-empting and jailing or killing people does not solve the problem. But let people honestly ask now, as you said, those who are bothered about Nigeria, let them ask now: what did I attempt to do for the time Babangida and his group allowed me to stay and what did they do in his eight years in office? I told you about the naira and the dollar, and the IMF programme. What did they do? They wanted to impress the world? The naira was devalued by about 122 percent. We have never recovered. Go and ask any economist. When you devalue a currency, it can never recover. Some of the politicians that were jailed for corruption, they were released and their loot was returned to them by Babangida. So it’s a big joke. That means I was there then before my time.
TheCable: Having been a military ruler who overthrew a democratic government, how did you now come around to subscribe to democracy?
Buhari: At the risk of sounding like a broken gramophone record, I will tell the story again. After I came out of detention and went home in December 1988... then in 1989, 1990, 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed and that had a terrific impact on me. People were coming to me for advice. Thank God, they did not come to me to ask for money because they knew I had no money. I declared my assets as many times as I occupied political office because that was the law. And when I left I declared my assets.  All those of us, our generation, from Obasanjo downward, if the country is serious about questioning them on how they acquired what have, it is easy because by law you have to declare your assets before office and after you leave office. But because it is so convenient to ignore the and accumulate wealth, that is what the big men and big women are doing.
Now, when the Soviet Union collapsed I realised that there was something right about multi-party democracy. I believe it was superior. But then how can we get it done in Nigeria? That was what eventually took me to partisan politics. And why did I leave the ANPP and form CPC? Why was I active in the merging of the opposition to become APC? It is all about strengthening our democracy and stabilising the system. I don’t like any person to see me as an impulsive person. I deliberately take decisions for my actions. That it is why when ANPP gave me the presidential ticket in 2003 and 2007, I went into the field, did my best but unfortunately we didn’t achieve success. But then while we were in court the party’s leadership took two marginal ministerial positions in the government of the late Umaru Yar'Adua. The party chairman said his son was taking up an appointment as special adviser while we were still in court.
Since 2005, we discovered that none of the opposition parties could face the PDP. The PDP has become so amorphous and it didn’t care about the opposition. If you see what happened to our members during elections... the killings, the burning. We realised we had to come together to face the PDP. This is the best way I think we can stabilise the system. When we stabilise the system impunity will not be acceptable. That is why we formed the APC. We need multi-party democracy to stabilise the system.
TheCable: What does a typical day in your life look like these days?
Buhari: Firstly, as you know, normally the practising Muslims have to wake up about five in the morning and pray. And I am an avid listener of the Voice of America and the BBC, Hausa service. This is because over the years I have discovered that they have been very, very helpful in educating the mostly illiterate Hausa-speaking populace. From Agadez or even from Tripoli down almost to South Africa, and from Senegal to Central Africa Republic, there is large body of Hausa-speaking communities, not necessarily Nigerian or Hausa, but those who speak the language because of trading over the centuries.
I found out VOA and BBC commentaries on politics and economics very good. They help to educate people. And they allow people to discuss, express different opinions and they interpret it, and I find that very helpful. And it is very current for Nigerian politics for that audience. I listen to that, and then I try to rest again. And then by 10am I have my breakfast, and go to the office or stay in the house if I choose to work without any interference. Otherwise, I go to the office and try to attend to official duties if I have appointments. About 4pm and 5pm I come back home, and mostly up to 10 in the night I will be with people discussing things.
These days, it is very difficult. This time scheduling is too tight. Sometimes I wish I had more than 24 hours to keep up with the demands of meeting people. Again, Nigerian politics, especially this time around, is the main issue. It is keeping me extremely busy. I go to bed nothing earlier than half past 11pm. I wish I could observe siestas. Sometimes I do. If I can escape from the office by 3:30 pm.
