TRIBUTE TO TINUBU: A Parody of Shakespeare

By Mohammed Adamu
His name is now as household as the “report of fashion in proud Italy”. He is a leader of leaders; and a true leader at that; because he commands not from the rear, but he braces, with his chest the heat and the chill of all battles. He is the veritable “Knight of the Garter” of our contemporary politics; “valiant and virtuous, full of haughty courage, such as is grown to credit by the wars; not fearing death nor shrinking from distress, but always resolute in most extremes”.
Time has proved that where “your ‘good’ word cannot advantage him, your slander never can en-damage him”.

PDP chairman Adamu Muazu bundled out of governors meeting

The crisis rocking the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) reached a crescendo on Tuesday evening when the party’s National Chairman Adamu Muazu was literally bundled out of a meeting meant for State Governors on the platform of the PDP.

Muazu who was an uninvited guest at the Akwa Ibom State Lodge in Abuja, venue of the governors’ meeting, was shocked when some of the governors began to charge at him accusing him of betraying the party at the just concluded presidential elections.

Jonathan's god-father, E.K Clark, has been abandoned in Abuja

Soon after President Olusegun Obasanjo made Goodluck Jonathan what he became between 2007 till date, he was hijacked by Ijaws as a regional president and they made sure he had no time for OBJ.

Now, the loss of last month’s presidential re-election effort by Jonathan has continued to rubbish most of those who had hijacked him, including the desertion of the once bubbling Abuja residence of his god-father, Chief Edwin Clark, located in the expensive Asokoro district of the FCT, Abuja.

The home once had a security force of about 12 soldiers, civil defence officers and the police...

In the past, politicians who were looking for appointments or favours of the now-humbled PDP, thronged the place to seek the approval of the self-appointed leader of the Ijaw tribe.

Apart from soliciting favours, some of the politicians visited Clark to report those they considered to be moles within the Presidency and the PDP at both national and state levels to him in the hope he could use such information to their benefit.

However, since the President’s defeat by General Muhammad Buhari of the APC, the politicians have all disappeared from the presence of the once influential man.

When visited on Sunday, the house has become a ghost of its past. Most security men have been recalled by their bosses, who have concluded that with Jonathan’s defeat, there is no need to attach them to a political hanger-on who should never have had them in the first place.

Olanusi’s travails began a month ago when he dumped the PDP for the APC. In condemning his impeachment, he reminded the lawmakers of an April 23 court order that the status quo be maintained in respect of his office.

PDP Chairman Admits: Card Reader Issue Is Not Significant

Contrary to the insinuations by some PDP men that the Card Readers are responsible for their trashing by the APC thus far, the National Chairman of the party, Adamu Mu’azu, has said that the percentage of the technical hitches encountered with card readers during the accreditation is insignificant.

Mu’azu, who was accredited at his home in Boto, said there is no perfection in technology, adding that it's only Almighty God that can be perfect. He rejected calls for the cancellation of the use of Card Reader machines for the accreditation of voters.

Buhari Speaks: I Wont Accept Cancellation of Election Result

He said that the challenges were very minor and as such did not affect the entire country.

New Survey confirms Buhari is Set to Win Presidential Election

The factors that underline why Buhari will likely win
This new survey reinforces our earlier position that the real story of the 2015 elections will not be so much about the scale of the likely victory in the presidential elections by Buhari, but about Goodluck Jonathan’s catastrophic loss of the 2011 coalition that propelled him to office. While the pool of swing voters in our earlier survey was as high as 23%, that number has now reduced to less than 5%. The last 6 weeks have been abysmal for Goodluck Jonathan’s electoral fortunes, as our results indicate that as many as 10 million largely undecided voters – about 23% of the participating electorate – have consolidated firmly behind Muhammadu Buhari.

MEND Replies PDP: Yes, Buhari is the Best Man for the Job

MEND is angry with President Goodluck Jonathan and they not even hiding it. Reacting to the criticism of its endorsement of the APC presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, for the presidency in the 2015 elections, MEND has come out again to insist that Buhari is the best man for the job.

The militant group had on Wednesday declared that it would support Buhari for the presidency, alleging that President Goodluck Jonathan had not performed up to the expectations of Nigerians, a position that did not go down well with the Presidency and the Ijaw Youth Council.

See the Massive Crowd that storm Buhari campaign in Bayelsa

Sincerely, I never knew that the combination of Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Rotimi Amaechi can pull such a mammoth crowd in President Goodluck Jonathan's home state, Bayelsa. I thought that 99% of the people of Bayelsa are with PDP, but from OluFamous.Com observed, that is not the case.

Buhari, the APC presidential candidate, took his campaign to Jonathan's doorsteps on Thursday.

Speaking at the venue, Governor Amaechi expressed satisfaction with the impressive turnout of party loyalists and expressed optimism that APC will be victorious at all levels of the elections.
Amaechi said, “In the case of Rivers they said he refused to develop Rivers because he is quarreling with me but let me ask you: is your son Jonathan (also) quarreling with [Governor] Dickson?
“Why do they say 'charity begins at home'? We expect Bayelsa to be a model state.”

Addressing the massive crowd, Buhari noted that Bayelsa was blessed with a suitable climate and fertile land for large scale agriculture which will be harnessed to drive economic development.

He regretted the inability of the Jonathan administration to develop even Bayelsa, his own home state, and promised to reverse the negative trend and bring development to the people.

He said power was critical to unlock the potentials of Nigerian entrepreneurs and will be a cardinal part of his economic programme.

Buhari also pledged to embark on skills acquisition and empowerment schemes that would benefit the teeming unemployed youths in the state.

He was accompanied on the campaign tour by Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, National Chairman of APC; Chief Timiprie Sylva, former Governor of Bayelsa; campaign coordinator, Governor Amaechi, and many other top officials of the party.
