Tinubu is Back to Nigeria, Rubbishes Rumors of Sickness

APC national leaders and former Governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, returned to Nigeria on Thursday after a prolonged trip abroad and denied rumors that he was seriously ill.

Speaking to reporters at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Tinubu said he was never indisposed during his trip abroad. He asked God to forgive those who spread rumors about his ill health.

Mbu is A Woman's Puppet; his Type can't Tame Me ––Amaechi

Trust Governor Rotimi Amaechi not to allow AIG Mbu Joseph get away with his rabble rousing in Abuja. The governor, who is the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, has said a thousand Mbus cannot in anyway tame him or the people of the state.

Amaechi described Mbu, a former Commissioner of Police in his state, as a woman's puppet.

PDP to Suspend Speaker Tambuwal over Romance with APC

Barring any change of mind, the leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may at its 63rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled to hold tomorrow at its National Headquarters, Abuja suspend the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Tambuwal.

Hon Tambuwal who represents Tambuwal federal constituency in the House of Representatives is among the members tagged rebels by the PDP leadership.

Boko Haram Finally Agrees To Exchange 30 Chibok Girls For 18 Captured commanders!



There are indications that Boko Haram has agreed to swap some of the abducted 219 Chibok girls for 18 commanders.

I’m simply following the money here. It has been 18 billion USD invested into the so-called war against Boko Haram over the past five years of this Jonathan government. $18 BILLION Dollars! And what did we buy with the money? What did we achieve with it? We have practically lost Borno to Boko Haram. We have lost thousands of lives, limbs and livelihoods. They say there is only one operational jet bombing Boko Haram; I don’t know how true that is, but with the comfortable way Boko Haram advances as illustrated in all their videos, I doubt we have even one useful jet engaged in this war after 18 billion dollars was pumped into it.

Boko Haram Shoots Obasanjo's Son in Mubi; 24 Soldiers Killed

There is serious fear in the land. Boko Haram terrorists on Monday attacked a platoon led by the son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, shooting him in the cross fire. He sustained serious injuries to his legs and was being transported to the hospital at the time of this report.

Boko Haram Takes Over 13 Nigerian Towns in Broad Daylight

 
The highly dreaded Boko Haram sect on Sunday continued its expansionist drive by overrunning Michika and Uba in Adamawa State. The capture of the two towns brings to 13, the number of communities now controlled by the sect in the North East.
The others are Gwoza, Buni Yadi, Gamboru Ngala, Damboa, Marte, Bama, Bara, Banki, Gulak, Dikwa and Madagali.

I’m Free from Ebola, but I’m now Jobless ––Ejelonu's Boyfriend

 
Stigma is a major problem in Nigeria and the earlier we change such attitude, the better.

Dennis Akagha has been certified to be free of Ebola Virus, but his fiancée, Miss Justina Ejelonu, a nurse at First Consultant Hospital, Lagos Island, Lagos who came in contact with Patrick Sawyer, did not survive the disease. In this interview with Punch's Gbenro Adeoye, he shares his near-death experience, the stigma he faced and the promise he made to his late fiancée:

Soldiers Evacuate Families from Barracks As Boko Haram Vows to Take over Maiduguri

 
Families and non-military staff residing in two major military barracks in Maiduguri, Borno State, are now being evacuated after Boko Haram terrorists dropped letters announcing their plan to take the most important city in Nigeria’s northeast region. The letters were dropped at the gates of Giwa and Maimalari military barracks as well as different parts of the city of Maiduguri.

Several soldiers also told Sahara Reporters that some of their colleagues had fled the barracks after the letters were circulated amongst military personnel.
