“Journey of a thousand miles, start with a step”. The ancient city of
Okemesi-Ekiti (“Land of the Brave and Intellectuals”) and Ido-Ile stand
still as Comrade Johnson Oyekola Bode-Adeoye (JOBA) declared his
intention to represent the yearnings and aspirations of Okemesi/Ido-Ile
people at the Ekiti State House of Assembly in the next political
dispensation, he however addressed the teeming crowd who joyously
received him at their various wards both in Okemesi and Ido-Ile Ekiti.
In his address, the aspirant promised realistic manifestos that
encompasses agitating for the interest of the masses, community
development and most importantly youth empowerment as a prerequisite to
nation building among others. He further advised all party members to be
steadfast saying efforts are in top gear in looking into the strange
outcome of the last governorship election in the state.
Based on his ideological spectrum, the aspirant promised to treat all
indegens of Okemesi and Ido-Ile constituency equally irrespective of
their party affiliation.
The visionary leader received blessings and was promised total physical
and spiritual backing by the aged, youths, male, female, physical and
spiritual forces in the constituency.
Finally, Comrade JOBA thanked the able Leadership of Dr John Kayode
Fayemi for his good spirit and for keeping to his promise of creating
Okemesi/Ido-Ile LCDA inspite of the temporary setback and also express
his appreciation to the party leadership from Ward to State level, High
Chief Jide Awe in particular for keeping the flag of the party flying.
