Senate Gives NNPC 7 Days To End Fuel Scarcity read 119 time(s) / 0 Comments by AIT / 12 hours ago / Nation The National Assembly joint committee on petroleum downstream has asked the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to put an end to the current fuel scarcity in the nation within the next seven days.

                                         
Leader of the Committee Kabiru Marafa, while briefing lawmakers during Thursday’s plenary gave feedback on the meeting of the committee on petroleum downstream with NNPC group on fuel scarcity issues in the country.

Marafa said that the committee at has directed the NNPC group to ensure adequate supply of PMS and disappearance of queues nationwide within 7 days.
The committee also directed all security operatives to ensure effective border control to avoid smuggling; and directed the department of petroleum resources (DPR) to double their efforts in enforcing price control and monitoring.
