Lagos PDP Guber: Agbaje beats Obanikoro + GEJ connection

The decision by President Goodluck Jonathan not to impose anyone as governorship candidate seems to be paying off greatly. If you want to win, go to the people and convince them to vote for you. Simple!

The big example worked well in Lagos as a man who was close to President Jonathan and was seen as a strong contender lost PDP governorship primary to a new comer in the party through the ballot.

About four months after joining the PDP, Jimi Agbaje on Monday emerged as PDP governorship candidate for Lagos State. He defeated a former Minister of State for Defence and Nigeria’s ex-High Commissioner to Ghana, Musiliu Obanikoro, who was touted as the leading contestant in the primary.

Military Authority Recognises Tambuwal As Speaker

In the eyes of the law, leave morality out first, Rt. Hon. Aminu Tambuwal is the Speaker of the House of Reps and it would remain so until he declares his own seat vacant or through an order of the court.

Unlike the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, who thinks otherwise, the Armed Forces authorities in Nigeria have recognised Tambuwal as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Tambuwal was duly recognised as House of Reps Speaker at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday where President Goodluck Jonathan launched the emblem and the appeal fund for the 2015 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration.

Shocker: TB Joshua Predicts Nigerian Crude Oil Price collapse

Popular Nigerian Prophet, T.B. Joshua, has just released a shocking video of his prediction about the very hard-hit development of crumbling oil prices. We need to do something. This is really serious!
TB Joshua said it in clear terms: “Whatever your country [Nigeria] has discovered in terms of mineral resources which has been a source of income - causing corruption and fights, people living flamboyantly – those things, nobody will buy them.
“The price will drop drastically because all other countries have discovered their own,” he continued. “Nobody to buy them; you will drink them.”

National Assembly drives away Police, Sergeant-at-Arms is now in charge of Security

"We can't allow such impunity in this place anymore, never!" A members of the House of Representatives from the South told OluFamous.Com while reacting to the latest development.

In a bid to forestall the incident of November 20 when armed policemen invaded the National Assembly, the Chief Sergeant-at-Arms have deployed his men to man all entry points into the complex.

It was reliably gathered that the policemen attached to the massive complex who originally man such points were deployed to only the outer gate. This became necessary considering the fact that parliaments all over the world have Sergeant-at-Arms in charge of security.

President Jonathan Replies Soyinka

The Presidency on Tuesday replied Prof Wole Soyinka, after he described President Goodluck Jonathan and his many acts of political impunity in recent times as worse than King Nebuchadnezzar, saying he was only playing the ostrich by accusing Jonathan.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, who reacted on behalf of the President, in a message to Punch, said it was saddening that the Nobel Laureate also failed to caution the likes of Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and others in APC who acts lawlessly.
The Presidency said, “Our eminent professor also sadly plays the ostrich as he failed to reprimand Governor Amaechi who is the national champion of impunity and official recklessness.
“The administration of President Goodluck Jonathan proves itself as the most liberal, keeping faith with adherence to rule of law and tolerance.”

Jonathan is now worse than Nebuchadnezzar ––Wole Soyinka

Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, says President Goodluck Jonathan is worse than neo-Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, describing Jonathan action today as a President that embraces impunity.

For The Records: according to the Holy Bible, King Nebuchadnezzar at the height of his reign became too arrogant and God tampered with his heart and made him to eat grass and live like an animal for seven years.

Title of the text Soyinka read at the briefing was, “King Nebuchadnezzar – The Reign of Impunity.”

While lambasting the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, Soyinka said:

Most of the messages came from youths, who can be described as the direct targets of his ambition to grab a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly come 2105.

Against all odds, he defeated the incumbent representative of Surulere Constituency 1, Kabiru Lawal, to get the party’s ticket in the forthcoming general election.

APC Dares SSS: Tell Nigerians What You Found After Invading Our Data Centre

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has challenged the DSS to immediately tell Nigerians the outcome of its investigations into the cooked-up allegation of PVC cloning that forced the security agency to unlawfully invade the party’s offices in Lagos over a week ago.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said if no evidence of PVC cloning was found, the DSS should apologize to Nigerians for acting on the basis of faulty intelligence.

It said any further delay in telling Nigerians the outcome of the investigations, after almost 10 days, could mean that the DSS is trying to manufacture evidence to support its faulty intelligence.

Fashola has been ruled out as APC vice presidential candidate

The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, has been ruled out as a running mate to whoever emerges as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress at the convention in December.

A highly placed source in the party, who spoke with Punch on the matter, said that Fashola’s religion, even though he is considered a performer, had ruled him out of the race for the vice presidential slot.
He said, “You know that the South-West is a base for the APC and it also contributed immensely to its formation. We would have preferred Fashola because of his pedigree in the state. Moreover, of all the APC governors from the zone, he is the only one doing his second term.
